Omani Packaging Company SAOG (OPC)
Omani
Packaging Company which started production in 1995 was one of the
earliest project implemented by ABC. The plant has an installed
capacity of 24,000 tpa and is located at the Rusayl Industrial Estate.
The technology and machinery from Isowa Corporation, Japan, is one of
the most modern and best in the world. The company manufactures
various types of corrugated sheets, trays and cartons.

Salalah Mills Company SAOG (SMC)
Salalah Mills Company is the second flour mill in the Sultanate
located at the Raysut Industrial Estate. The plant has a capacity of
300 tons per day and produces a range of wheat flour products like
atta, semolina and speciality flours to be used in confectionery
products. The plant has been designed and supplied by Buhler Ltd. of
Switzerland and is one of the most modern mills to have been installed
in the region. The plant capacity is later expanded to 400 tons per
day. The company is making profit from the very first year of
operation.

Gulf Plastic Industries SAOG (GPI)
Gulf
Plastic Industries was set up at the Rusayl Industrial Estate. The
company manufactures plastic woven bags for flour, jumbo bags for
handling solids and polystyrene cups for food sector. The technology
and machinery employed are among the world's best such as Reifenhauser
of Germany, Adolf Illig of Germany, Vandam of Netherlands and
Starlinger of Austria. The plant has started operations in 1998, and
is exporting products even to European countries.

Dhofar Vegetable Oils & Derivatives SAOG (DVOD)
DVOD (now
known as Omani Vegetable Oils & Derivatives, is an edible oil refinery
in Oman for refining of vegetable oils. DVOD with a daily production
capacity of 100 tons is located at Raysut Industrial Estate. Canola
oil, the cholesterol free edible oil is one of the main products of
the factory. DVOD has adopted the state of the art technology from De
Smet, Belgium. The company can process oil both by physical refining,
which is more cost effective, and by chemical refining. The plant
started operation in 1998 and is exporting products to various GCC
countries.

Oman Ceramics Company SAOG
The plant
has a capacity to produce 375,000 pieces of fired ceramic sanitary
ware products per year. It will manufacture various vitreous china
ceramic sanitary ware products such as wash basins, bowls, bidets,
tanks, countertops, shelves, pedestals and accessories. The
technology, plant and machinery are various top technology suppliers
from UK and other European countries. The plant started operation in
2000. It is exporting products to various European and Middle East
countries.

A' Saffa Poultry Farms SAOG
This
project was implemented in Oman and covers an area of about 35 square
kilometers. The products of the unit include frozen whole chilled
birds and frozen pieces such as breasts, wings, drumstick and giblets.
The farm produces 9 million birds per annum and processes 11,000 ton
poultry meat per annum. The integrated unit comprises parent bird
farms, hatchery, broiler bird farms and veterinary department. There
are nine farms in the integrated unit and each one will have six
broiler houses. All these are totally enclosed and environmentally
controlled by evaporative cooling with the help of computer systems.
The plant also has a slaughterhouse, rendering plants, feed mill,
power station, laboratory, cold storage and effluent treatment plant.
The plant started operation in 2004 and is exporting products to all
GCC countries. |
